Simple, stylish pots in different sizes; this is the idea behind Stilleben's Edge series of terracotta planters for Skagerak. The pots are hand-crafted from beautiful earth-tone terracotta with a substantial wall thickness to ensure longevity.
Edge Pots are inspired by the classical Greek and Egyptian vases, where the small feet lift the jars off the ground. Here the foot is combined with the body of the pot in a Scandinavian reinterpretation. The jars are marked with a stamp in the surface to celebrate the collaboration of Skagerak and Stilleben on the product.
In 2002, when the two designers Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft opened the Stilleben shop in the heart of Copenhagen, they were among the pioneers to bring modern interpretations of handmade ceramics from different designers into a new and modern setting within interior design. A trend that quickly summoned design shops on the thriving Danish design market to follow and soon ceramics became the thing within interior design. Since 2007 the two visionary designers have also worked from their art studio designing not only in their own name but also for renowned Danish design companies such as Kähler and Skagerak.
These indoor pots come without a drainage hole. Outdoor Edge Pots are also available and come with a drainage hole.
