With its long elegant shape, the Georg Bench by Skagerak is the perfect piece to grace a hallway and provide a place to perch while tying up your shoes. You may also like to consider the bench as an informal seating solution for dining, as the cushion will ensure comfort and the height is the optimum to pair with with most tables. The newer version of Georg Bench has a linen cushion and braided linen strap which gives a monochrome and natural expression.
The Georg range of furniture from Skagerak was launched in 2013 to represent the modern Scandinavian character in its most simple and beautiful form. It is a collection designed not to date with fashion but to remain timeless and gain individual distinction as it ages.
The seat cushion simply sits on top of the stool, whereas the leather or linen strap wraps around the seat to secure the cushion in place. The legs are solid turned oak with a soft curved end where it meets the ground. Likewise the solid oak seat has very soft edges and corners. Finished in untreated oak or a black lacquer, the Georg Bench pairs perfectly with a contemporary interior.
Designed by the Danish/Swedish designer Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm, the Georg series comprises of a console table, coat rack, stool, dining table, clothes hangers on a leather string and a mirror.
