Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec
There are few, if any, designers as well renowned and respected as Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec - often known simply as the Bouroullec Brothers. Ronan is a graduate of the École supérieure des Arts décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École nationale supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting their own studio together in Paris.
The design duo started their practice as joint partners in 1999 and quickly established a reputation for offering a new perspective on materiality and purpose. Since then they have worked with some of the world’s most illustrious design brands, creating products which are already considered to be future classics. Their work ranges from small utilitarian objects to architectural projects. In addition to the design of domestic and office furniture, vases, porcelain tableware, jewellery and diverse home accessories, a primary focus of their work is also the design and organisation of interior space.
