The TR Suspension Frame from Menu is a minimal light fitting utilising (and including) the TR Bulb. A strong cylindrical bar of solid brushed brass suspends four TR bulbs like floating orbs. Spanning 125 cm the frame provides good illumination from one end of a table to the other, creating the perfect dining situation. This fixture would also work well suspended over other long work surfaces like kitchen islands.
The TR range is a clever solution for modern city living. Instead of focussing on the design of complex new fixtures, the series is all built around a simple opal glass sphere - the bulb itself. The TR bulb is a dimmable LED light source; its elegant, spherical form hides the lamp fitting, while the opal glass diffuser creates an even, harmonious, warm glow – preventing glare.
Inspired by the way people are increasingly becoming urban nomads, moving between cities and countries to pursue careers and life experiences: The first collaboration between MENU and Tim Rundle, TR bulbs are designed to be taken from apartment to apartment – installed by simply screwing it into existing fittings or pairing it with the ultra-minimal fixtures from the same series.
