Vitra's Lampe de Bureau is a reissue of a table lamp designed by acclaimed Architect Jean Prouvé in 1930. The lamp is available in several powder-coated colours, which are derived from the original hues used by Prouvé, and the power cable is sheathed in a high-quality textile casing
Jean Prouvé designed the Lampe de Bureau, a small table lamp, as part of the functional furnishings for the halls of residence at the Cité Universitaire in Nancy. Constructed from bent sheet steel, it reflects the light rays and pleasantly illuminates the desk surface. The glare free design makes the lamp a perfect reading companion and is ideal for desks, shared table spaces or perhaps a kitchen counter top.
