The simply entitled 'Jug' has been created by expert glass artist Jochen Holz for HAY. Hand-blown from borosilicate glass, this pouring vessel is both heat resistant and dishwasher safe. The inherent strength of borosilicate glass has allowed Holz to create a design that is airy yet strong. Use Jug for dispensing your favourite drinks in style.

Jochen Holz is a glass artist from Germany who is based in London. He initially studied as a technical glass blower in Germany, before going on to complete a BA Hons degree in Applied Arts at Edinburgh College of Art and a MA in Ceramics and Glass at The Royal College of Art. After graduating in 2003 he established his own studio in Stratford, East London. Jochen is known for creating technically accomplished pieces and his use of the 'lampworking' technique. Lampworking allows the free-flow of hot glass to inform the shape of the final piece created. He was awarded the RSA Award in 2000 and the prestigious Centre Prize at the RCA in 2003.

Bought an amber jug by HAY as a present for my good friend. The jug is very beautiful and my friend loves it! I'm so jealous. Will need to get one for myself too. It was well packed and arrived quickly and safely. Thanks for an excellent service.
