Form & Refine's Laundry Box brings stunning craftsmanship to a household object normally tucked behind a door. The beauty of the design and completely closable lid means your laundry need not be hidden away any longer. Of course you don't need to use this box for laundry, it would also work well as a small hallway sideboard or even a toy box.

The top slides open via a natural leather pull handle and a notch in the oak construction holds the lid in place while used. Four svelte oak legs raise the box and lightens the appearance, while the overall design is solid and robust. With a weight of 12 Kg the box stays firmly in place, but it is easily moved nearer to the washing machine thanks to recessed handles on both sides. There are three gaps in the pieces of wood that make up the sides of the box, this is to allow air to circulate freely inside and prevent moisture from being trapped inside.

Herman Studio on the design: "Our wish was to create a classic, yet simple laundry box with beautiful details around the lid. The elongated format adds to a refined appearance that takes up minimal space wherever placed."

This product is designed by
Herman Studio

Herman Studio was founded in 2012 by two architects; Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen. Their work spans from textile, ceramics, lighting and furniture design to interior design.

A characteristic of their design is each objects’ clear distinct silhouette. Working with an identifiable outline for each object, makes the design stand out simply, clearly and recognisably. Their great passion for design is in addition to aesthetics especially about construction and the use of materials. They work using a methodical and sequential process between sketches, models and prototypes. Their design process often starts by studying construction methods which plays a central role throughout the entire design process in their own workshop.

Very nice and fast delivery

Lovely piece of furniture. Was in stock and arrived within 48 hours of delivery. Outer cardboard box had a smash gash but no matter, it was triple boxed! That’s a new one on me.

Thanks for the review Ken :)

Yes we 'triple-box' the items which we think are delicate and most likely to be damaged in transit if mishandled. It's a bit labour intensive but it's important to keep our damage rate super low!
