The FK04 Calvert Coffee Table was designed by German architect Ferdinand Kramer in 1951 during his stay in America. As part of his successful "Knock-Down" furniture series, he focused on utility and a high degree of flexibility. The easily invertible and collapsible coffee table consists of a square tabletop and two invertible crossing sheets serving as a base for the table. Calvert can be easily collapsed and stored when not in use, it makes it the ideal occasional table if you are short on space! The original midcentury design has been adapted to make use of modern production techniques and is now manufactured by e15.

The Calvert table features a sculptural construction that offers a delicate balance between the stability and the gracefulness of the form. Constructed from sheets of 12mm thick plywood with various finishes, the Calvert Table is suitable for a wide variety of places and spaces. A clean silhouette ensures the Calvert Coffee Table will match up with many interior settings from residential to commercial spaces.

The Ferdinand Kramer knockdown table series also includes the Charlotte Coffee Table with a round tabletop.
