The Herringbone Vessels are designed by London-based design studio Raw-Edges for Vitra. The designers find an almost magical fascination in the transformations that occur when various materials and shapes are successively dipped in baths of dye. This process yields a pattern with an intrinsic logic determined by the dipping angle as well as the shape and weight of the piece. Raw-Edges Studio has developed a collection of objects including a bowl, tray and vase with a pattern based on the immersion dyeing technique.

Featuring a sophisticated colour glaze finish, the Herringbone Vessels are durable, versatile pieces that create an elegant look in any space. The Herringbone Vessels' colour scheme and linear sharpness of the patterns vary depending on the respective material. As the dyeing process is performed entirely by hand, each bowl, tray and vase in the Herringbone Collection is a completely unique object.
