The Air Sideboard Low is designed by Stockholm-based designer Mathieu Gustafsson for Design House Stockholm. The Air Collection is inspired by the beauty and strength of cane. As the name suggests, Air looks lightweight and expresses an ethereal quality through its semi-transparent woven rattan panelling. Air's combination of a distinct graphic expression and Scandinavian functionality is something that is uniquely Design House Stockholm.
The sideboard is constructed from a mixture of solid oak, painted oak (black sideboard) or painted solid beech (white/grey sideboard) frames and legs, with oak or painted oak veneered MDF for side panels, top surfaces and internal shelves.
The sideboard is divided into two spaces internally, with a fixed position shelf on each side. A cable access hole at the back allows for easy wiring of appliances and various media devices. This makes the cabinet the perfect solution for AV equipment or for housing internal lighting. The rattan fronted sliding doors can hide everything out of sight, but remote controls will still function with the doors closed.
The sideboard can be used as a TV stand or perhaps a piece of furniture for the hallway or dining room. It will bring a contemporary and elegant look with a Scandinavian feel to your space. In the same Air series there is also a Taller Sideboard and a Cabinet.
