The Peas Rug from HAY is handmade in Nepal. Nepalese craftspeople create felted balls of 100% wool by rolling it between their palms, the hundreds of balls they create are then strung together on a non-degrading nylon thread to form the rug. This beautiful rug is available in either soft grey, medium grey, dark grey and now dark green. The rug is available in 5 sizes, the two largest also have a woven cotton backing.

The woollen balls have a melange finish with various tones of colour running through, it makes each and every rug totally unique.

HAY has traveled the world to present a unique collection of rugs made in Nepal and India. To promote sustainability and empowerment in the countries of origin, they have concentrated on using small local businesses as well as local weaving techniques and production methods.

170 cm x 240 cm - with cotton backing

We recommend using an underlay on rugs without a cotton backing, to prevent slipping.

Please note these care instructions:
Always use a vacuum cleaner with a non-motorised head to care for your rug. Motorised heads pull out connected fibres from the rug and will reduce its lifespan.

The rug will shed most when it is new. Vacuum it regularly and the shedding will gradually reduce over time.
